We made it through February. The month that set many local records for the most rainfall since records have been kept. There was only two or three days in February that it didn’t rain in the Portland area. Turn the corner in March and we have warmer temperatures and less than three weeks until spring. All in all, things are looking up.
At the last stated meeting on Saturday (2/11) we passed our budget, viewed our new website, and installed our Chaplain, Brother Eddie Manjarres. We were blessed by having visitors from three Lodges and Worshipful Brother Alin Popescu shared the seeds of our promotional program and raffle. Stayed tuned for details next month. On March 1st we visited Friendship Lodge enjoyed the refreshment table, business meeting and Masonic education.
Things are looking up for our goal of recruitment. Our web presence is working and we look forward to sharing with some visitors soon. We still seek dual members from other Lodges and fine men from where we work, shop, eat, play or pray. Do you know someone that will be a good fit?
At our stated meeting on March 11th we will learn more details of our recruitment/promotion efforts and we will hear from W.B. Bob Richardson on the significance of Saints John. On Tuesday March 14th we will have a visitation to Milwaukie Lodge. Join us on Tuesday at 6:30 pm for dinner with the meeting to follow. At our planning/practice meeting Thursday (3/23) at 6:30 pm we will practice degree work and discuss our promotion and the volunteer work we will be doing this year. We will be meeting at Cornerstone Lodge building (202 SE 84th Ave.). I would like everyone to show to practice parts. Also, add Blue Lodge Training on March 18th to your calendar.
See you Saturday the 11th.
